Big Fish Audio - Alien Guitars 2

Big Fish Audio's Alien Guitars 2 (Format: Audio/WAV/Acid)

SKU Code: ALGU2
Category: Samples

With Alien Guitars 1 many thought Sisko and Libertino had taken the post-modern guitar to its logical end. Ironically, it was only the beginning... Alien Guitars 2 picks up right where Volume 1 stops. The goal? To utilize every gadget and technique available to mutilate any recognizable sound of a guitar. Conjured from the guitar by way of hardware, software and demented wetware you will visit: "Paturn"- loops & linear melodic patterns, "Dark Matter"- sinister soundscapes and supernatural environments, "Aquatica"- the sounds of liquid guitars, "The Temple of Sonos"- spiritual sounds and healing tones, "Luceslantra"- glistening textures and harmonics of light, the "Rainforest"- exotic birds, insects and animals of the sonic jungle and "Passport Kontrol"- sounds of exotic locales within the imaginary universe... you get the idea.

What's On This Disc?

Paturn: Loops and Linear Melodic Patterns
Early explorers of Paturn couldn't believe their eyes (all six of 'em). A graphologist's dream, Paturn's otherwise desolate landscape is covered by complex, interlocking design patterns. Loops, circles within cycles, recursive cursives, stuttroglyphics and retrograde inversions. A veritable Rosetta Stone of abstract tabular tablature of linear and crypto-scalar fragments, sketchings, and mirror-written etchings. Tide rules and slide pools. Text becomes (Text)ure.

Eden 2.0: The Sounds of Hopeful Machinery
Robotics, A.I., and genetic manipulation eventually reached their ultimate conclusion: the introduction of new forms of hybrid life (human, post-human and distinctly non-human.) Eden 2.0, an insta-world, was created to solve the evolutionary issue of human-to-New Life integration. Here you will hear transgenic guitar splices, hybrid tonalities, skanky robotic funk, nano-Metal, bio bass, and hyper prismatic riffing as mechanical animals and their abstract owners attempt to make sense of their RealEmotions© with guitars!

FRAG: Sounds of Adrenaline, Industry and Aggression
Originally an orbiting prison colony, FRAG was abandoned when the Commission could no longer find anyone crazy enough to police the dread dodecahedron. This rogue element is filled with the harshest Post-Descent Rock guitar sounds ever. Tones were hacked, granulated, dismembered and vivisected. Guitars buckled, groaned, snapped and gave way. Rude distortions and Nasty contortions. Toxic Black Cold Dread Metal peelings that'll make you crap your pantaloons. Not a registered Tourist Location.

The Junk Belt: Sounds of Broken, Disjointed and Discarded Junk
Once brilliant machines, now caked with rust and sediment make up this stream of anti-grav flotsam and jetsam. Come here to salvage or scavenge the Lo-Tek, Crumbient castoffs. Worship the Glitch, Arrhythmia, and planned obsolescence. Pick up short-outs, bins of cast off robophones, lurker units, Pleadean stomp boxes, damaged necks, pitch-scarred funk. If it's broken and off-kilter you'll find it here. It might be just the part youÕre looking for, so be prepared to haggle.

Dark Matter: Sinister Soundscapes and Supernatural Environments
The metaphorical, metaphysical supernatural vortex of the Universe. Here you will see ghost ships listing in decaying gravity, the Dead Vox, guitars of dread and haunted tunings. Closed loops from which there is no escape, phantom duets and existentialist cadences and physics defying harmonic cloud maneuvers. Enochian thirds, tablature Tarot, ghost echoes, paranormal flanging, e-bow sirens, Faustian bargains and at least one exorcise from Old Mephisto's Fake Book.

Aquatica: The Sounds of Liquid Guitars
From rivulet to vast ocean, Aquatica is the sound of guitars made liquid. Loop tide pools, standing waves, and shimmering pointalistic textures abound. See the Lost Strat of Atlantis, the Well of Harmonic Motion and the Chordal Font. Hear harmonic rain, a Whale's Tears, Pentatonic burblers, six string springs, tidal modulations, Tremolo Reef, and the Floating City. Peek into the Guitar Aquarium and see the colorful bioluminescent Dreadnoughts.

Temple of Sonos: Spiritual Sounds and Healing Tones
Enter quietly this sacred shrine of the mystical order of the Sonos. Listen to the initiates struggle with intonation. Hear the acolytes wail with tasteful restraint. Hear the Psalms of Silence, the Holy Overtone Cluster, Scalar Ascension, Contrafunctas, the Healing Tones, the Modal Canon, the Redemption Sequence and Plagal Cadence. Contemplate the mysteries of One-Hand Strumming. Make a sacrifice to the God of Feedback.

Complexus: Complex Mathematics and Fractals Rendered in Sound
Position yourself of the borderline between meticulous mathematical order and complete chaos. Derive the equations of hyper-riffing, calculate the Vector of Sonic Mayhem, stand within the geometry of harmonic construction and traverse the topology of looped tapping. Hear recursive loops create feedback systems of ungodly cybernetics. Zoom into the fractal chord. Sample fractionary time signatures, jam on the Fibonacci Series, solo over the Reimann transformations, dive bomb the Singularity.

Luceslantra (The City of Glass Light): Glistening Textures and Harmonics of Light
This stunning city of glass is lit from without by two moons and from within the living glass crystal structures. The sounds glisten and pulse with mysterious light and life. Hear the shimmering Unison Chimes, the autumnal amber chamberpoint, the Spire of Wight, the eternal chord, dusk fractalis, angel landing, moon-verb, columns of white noise, the equal tempered pavilion and the overdubbed e-bow cathedral of Lux Eterna.

Liana: The Rainforest: Exotic Birds, Insects, and Animals of the Sonic Jungle
Untouched by humans or machines, this verdant paradise is overrun with colorful flora and fauna. Hear the seven year Cicada Loop, Howler Monkeys, Fractal Birds, twisted chromatic Vines, the Venus Fly Strat, fire lizard licks, gibbons with Gibsons, the mating call of the wild Tele. Plank spanking, finches, flinches, and over saturated piches. Blow pipe sonics, Parker Flies, patch cord tangles. Guitars in the wild - stay on the paths, or don't!

Passport Kontrol: Sounds of Exotic Locales within the Imaginary Universe
You say you still haven't seen enough? Then pack your sampler and head to Passport Kontrol. They'll issue you visas for territories that only exist in the Imaginary Universe. Get a postcard from the Canyon of Echoes. The second one's free! Ride the Metal Vortex. Explore the bazaar at Nashma. Go Rickenbacking in the Valley of Flatted Fifths. See the sights along Route GR-707. Risk the Hamer Triangle. Skirt the void. See the low frequency WŸrm. Take the Ibanez across the Topographical Ocean. While you dream, donÕt forget to grab a souvenir.
